Welcome to the Himalaya website.
Since 1986 , Himalaya New Age Bookstore is situated in the busy heart of Amsterdam, 200 metres from Central Station. Many people call the place an oasis of peace and inspiration.
In 25 years Himalaya developed to the biggest spiritual bookstore in Holland. Our large collection of books shows a great variety in Dutch and English titles. The latest releases on self-development, religion, astrology, sjamanism, aura's and chakra's, Mayan knowledge, health... you can find it all. And our dollar exchange rate will pleasantly surprise you.
If, unfortunately, a book is not available, we can easily order it for you. Our American distributor 'New Leaf' delivers every week. Our personnel are well able to advise and serve you in the English spoken language.
Also discover our large collection specialized music and DVD's, beautiful buddha statues and incense (own import), minerals, essential oils, tarot cards and gift presents. 180 square metres of spiritual experience; you can easily spend a day in our shop!

Our ecological and vegetarian teahouse is taking care of the inner body. Have a seat and choose from our wide range hot and cold drinks, pies and cakes, sandwiches, fresh salads, bagels and homemade soups.

You can also find a Himalaya bookstore in Rotterdam where we take part in 'De Groene passage'. This is the first alternative shoppingmall in Holland. All shops in 'De Groene Passage' share the same philosophy; care for surroundings and spiritual growth. Under one roof you can find f.i. the biggest healthfoodstore in Holland, an ecological restaurant, an ayurvedic beautysalon and spiritual centre.
